Brad Chute

For nearly two decades, Brad has been a licensed funeral director with Vensil & Chute Funeral Homes in Newark.

A graduate of Newark High School, Brad returned to Licking County after completing his studies at Ohio University and The Cincinnati College of Mortuary Science.

He has been active in the community. The Licking County Republican Party recently named him Businessman of the Year in 2023; in 2019 he was a “20 under 40” honoree from the Newark Advocate.

Brad is a member of the Rotary Club of Newark and recently served as president of the Ohio Funeral Directors Association.

He recently served as the President of the Ohio Funeral Directors Association and continues to provide leadership to his profession through active involvement in both the Ohio Funeral Directors Association and the National Funeral Directors Association.

He and his wife Meghann, who is a longtime teacher in the Southwest Licking School District, live in Newark with their three children. They are parishioners of St. Edward the Confessor Church in Granville.

Brad is also an outdoor enthusiast who enjoys hunting, fishing and golfing.
